The Website and Services together are referred to as the "Platform." Persons who visit the Website or use the Services are referred to as "Users."

By accessing or using the Platform, you expressly consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Use and Service.

In this Privacy Policy, references to our "affiliates" mean any entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with BroadNarrow Labs.

01Collection and Use of Information

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use information through your use of the Platform and any information you provide to us, including by email, telephone, or contact form.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information you choose to give us. This includes:

  • Contact and inquiry information. When you contact us by email, by telephone, or through a form on the Website, we collect your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), the name of your organization (if provided), and the contents of your message.
  • Engagement information. When you engage us to perform Services, we collect information necessary to perform the work, such as the entity names, asset identifiers, and other parameters required to define the scope of a Report. This information may be received by email, by telephone, or through any tools we make available for that purpose.
  • Account information. If we make Account registration available, we may collect a username, password, postal address, billing address, and similar identifiers.
  • Subscription and newsletter information. If you sign up to receive publications, blog posts, newsletters, or product updates, we collect your name and email address along with any preferences you indicate.
  • Job applicants. If you apply for a position with us, we collect the name, phone number, email address, and desired position you provide, together with any resume, work samples, or other materials you submit.

We use this information to respond to your inquiries, perform the Services you engage, deliver Reports and related communications, manage Accounts, send communications you have requested, evaluate job applications, and otherwise operate our business.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you access the Platform, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:

  • IP address;
  • Browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers;
  • Mobile device hardware and software information;
  • Pages or areas visited within the Platform and the time of those visits;
  • Referring and exit URLs and the search terms used to find the Website; and
  • Approximate geographic location derived from IP address (typically state or city level).

We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the Platform; to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse; to analyze usage patterns; and for analytics and reporting.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, such as analytics providers, advertising platforms, identity-verification or anti-fraud services, and any platforms through which you communicate with us. We use this information together with information we collect directly to perform the activities described in this Privacy Policy.

1.4 Payment Information

If we accept payment from you, we use third-party payment processors to handle credit card or bank account information. Your payment information is provided directly to those processors and is not stored on our systems. We may receive a confirmation of payment, the last four digits of a card, and similar non-sensitive transaction details.

02Information About Subjects of Reports

Our Reports analyze records about third parties, such as the recorded patent, trademark, and copyright filings of an entity that is the subject of a Report. The information in those records is publicly available and is published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO"), the United States Copyright Office ("USCO"), and similar public sources. We process this public information to perform the Services on your behalf.

If you are an individual whose name appears in a Report we have prepared and you wish to inquire about the use of your information, please contact us at info@ipindex.ai. We will respond as required by applicable law, but please understand that public records are not made non-public by our use of them, and we cannot remove information from the underlying USPTO, USCO, or other source databases.

03Children's Information

The Platform is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in a manner inconsistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") or similar laws, we will delete that information as soon as practicable.

04Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, log files, and similar mechanisms to:

  • Remember information so you do not have to re-enter it during your visit or your next visit;
  • Identify you when you access, visit, or log into the Platform;
  • Note which areas of the Platform have been accessed through your device, in order to manage and improve the Platform and tailor its content;
  • Monitor the effectiveness of our communications and any promotional or marketing campaigns;
  • Improve the content, performance, and security of the Platform; and
  • Analyze aggregate usage metrics, such as total number of users and pages viewed.

The Platform does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers. You may set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie or to block cookies; however, certain features of the Platform may not function properly if you do.

We may use third-party analytics services (for example, Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, or comparable providers) to analyze use of the Platform. These services generate statistical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies and may store and use that information subject to their own privacy policies. Information about Google's privacy practices is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

05Disclosure, Sharing, and Use of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We use the information we collect to operate the Platform, perform Services, communicate with you, and improve our offerings. We share personal information in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers. We share information with third parties that provide hosting, infrastructure, analytics, email, payment processing, customer support, and other services to us, in each case under contractual restrictions appropriate to the type of information shared.
  • With AI and language model providers. As part of delivering the Services, we may transmit information you provide (including engagement inputs and User Materials) to third-party AI and language model providers (for example, Anthropic, OpenAI, or comparable providers). These providers process the information on our behalf, subject to their applicable terms and data-handling commitments. We do not knowingly use any user input to train models for the benefit of third parties; we may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve our own internal methodologies as described in our Terms.
  • With affiliates. We may share information among our affiliates for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • With your permission. We share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent to the sharing.
  • For legal and safety reasons. We share information when we believe it is necessary to (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms or other agreements, including for billing and collection; (c) detect, investigate, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of BroadNarrow Labs, our users, or others.
  • In the event of a corporate transaction. As described in Section 7, customer lists and information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.

We make no representations or warranties about the privacy practices of any third party. When you provide information to us with the understanding that it will be shared, you do so at your own risk, and we are not liable for any misuse of that information by a third party.

Other than for our own marketing purposes (and subject to your consent or any opt-out you have exercised), we do not use your email address or other personal information to send you commercial or marketing messages without your consent. We may use your name, usage history, and email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as service announcements, billing, customer support, or items for which you have specifically requested communication).

06Storage, Retention, and Security

We use third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the Platform. We and our licensors own the code, databases, models, and all rights to the Platform and any feedback you provide; subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms, you retain all rights to the personal information you provide.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain backup copies for a reasonable period after deletion.

We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

We assume no responsibility for the loss of information, however such loss occurs, including through the actions of an employee, contractor, or other person with access to the information; through failures of a computer network; or through any policy or directive for destruction of data.

07Transfer of Information in Corporate Transactions

Customer lists and information are properly considered assets of a business. If we merge with another entity, sell our assets, raise financing, restructure, or undertake any similar transaction (each, a "Transfer"), our contact lists and other information (which may include personal information you have provided to us) may be transferred among the assets involved in the Transfer. We will request that the receiving entity treat your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, but we make no guarantees about how the receiving entity will treat your information and disclaim any liability arising out of any failure to do so.

08Third-Party Websites

The Platform contains links to other websites that are not maintained or controlled by us, including the websites of the USPTO, the USCO, and other public records repositories. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website. The fact that we link to a third-party site does not mean that the third-party site operates under the same or similar privacy practices as those described here. If you access a third-party website using a link, you do so at your own risk.

You acknowledge that your access to any social media features on or referenced by the Platform is governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of the companies providing those features.

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@ipindex.ai. We will verify your identity before honoring any request.
  • Manage cookies. Adjust your browser settings to block or notify you of cookies. The Platform may not function fully if you disable cookies.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make substantial changes, we will endeavor to notify you (for example, by email or by posting an alert on the Website for a period of time). Reviewing this page periodically is the best way to stay informed of how we collect, use, and share your information.
